Heavenly Father,

We know very little about the shooter’s family. But you know everything about them. In this time when your spiritual family is reeling from the evil perpetrated upon our members, may that physical family also know your love and mercy, your grace and compassion. No doubt they want to run and hide; to distance themselves from the actions of their relative that brought so much carnage to the lives of others. Yet, may they not run from you. We pray your kindness would be every so present and overwhelming, and that it would be seen through the incredible forgiveness of your people even in the middle of horrendous pain and tragedy. Teach us to forgive as we have been forgiven.
